The Regularization of a property is issued instead of a building permit. The citizen must be very careful that the Regularization is done correctly. It is completely pointless for a Regularization to proceed and the property to still be illegal. In the event that a sale follows, a wrong Regularization leads to cancellation of contracts, lawsuits by buyers and several years in courtrooms. Contracts drawn up on the basis of incorrect Regularizations are considered void.
